The Great Snowmageden of 2017

Oh the snow! I personally am not a huge fan of the snow... like at all.
However the extra time that I got Jenna and Mike at home was worth the cold!
Plus there was times it did look beautiful :)
The kids enjoyed playing in it

And had the opportunity to work in it ;)
which they oddly liked
Jenna spent a lot of time playing with the neighbor kids, and James spent time watching them from the windows

We were sad to miss things like my amazing husband's graduation, because he wouldn't let us drive in the snow.
 love those buns ;) ;)
But loved having extra time to spend as a family working on projects
Jenna baked a lot

The kids made Snow Cream

Turns out a snow in is the perfect time to potty train!
And the perfect time for being silly and sibling bonding

And we all just stayed warm, and did a lot of cuddling!

Hello 2017

Honestly I truly loved 2016! It was so full of new adventures and peace for my family!
But I think 2017 will be as great if not better (especially with not spending 1/2 of it pregnant) ;)
The last Thursday of 2016 we went took Jenna and her friend to see Trolls
(James's 1st actual movie in the theaters), and then they played while we packed!
Friday night and Saturday morning Jenna to play one last basketball tournament for the year!
In which they got 2nd place out of 7 team!!!
That afternoon we dropped the kids with grandma and grandpa for a sleepover,
and we headed downtown
We walked around stopping to have appetizers, then dinner, then finished with dessert at Ruth's Chris
We ended the night seeing the potato drop in downtown

So glad I get this mad to kiss at midnight December 31st for the rest of my life!
We slept in, had breakfast in bed, went swimming at the hotel, and enjoyed being kid free
Then we spend the 1st day of 2017 hanging out with grandma and grandpa
The boys watched their "shows"
while us girls (with some not helpful help from James) did a puzzle

"Gingerbread" House Party

My kids love making "gingerbread" houses,
so we decided that we would share our fun with some family!
I made homemade Chili for dinner, and put out some easy snack as you build food for the kids.
The kids filled the coffee bar with all of their favorite things for people to drink
We aren't so much gingerbread fans...we use graham crackers ;)
James was very excited that there was that much candy all in one place!

Such good daddies he makes my heart melt!

And what is a party without filling up on candy then using the VR headset

James loved having papa time
And everyone enjoyed passing around our family's newest addition
It was such a wonderfully "sweet" night!!
