Well hello summer

This last weekend was our 1st one together as a family since Michael and I got back from the Bahamas,

 so we decided to kick  summer 2017 with an day out just the 5 of us!

We had a lazy morning with our kitties while dad made breakfast

Then we headed to the discovery center to check out their new shark exhibit, and play with slime! 

After going to lunch we headed to the Old State Pen

 The older kids were surprisingly more interested in the details then they have been in past trips.

 As always they climbed everything

 And let me lock them in solitary confinement ;)

 Jim thought it was fun too

Once the kids were done and baby was sleepy we got snacks then headed for some hiking to see Table Rock Cross

Yes... after coffee shops ;)

Kade and Jenna have been asking for a cat for years, so we told them once Jenna finished allergy shots that we would try. When one of our friends from church posted they had some kittens in need of a home we decided we should get ONE...

But Michael sent me alone, and look at these faces!!!

And Jim agreed we should get both ;)

Plus it is good to have your sibling to play with!

They like to hide in the lawn mower bag...

Jim thought he should join them while Grandma was babysitting...

He really loves his baby kitties, and for the most part they love any attention they can get!

We did our "make sure this was a good idea" period, and still love having the extra cuteness to play with, so the babies are staying!
