Our Princess Unicorn turned 9

Daddy's Girl is growing way too fast!
But she still would rather spend her time with him over anyone else which makes my heart so happy!
Daddy woke up early to make his girl a 9 shaped pancake, and her favorite eggs!
We filled the house with balloons that had notes to her, and even decorated the car and her bathroom mirror :)
That afternoon Dad went to lunch at her school, played with her and her friends at recess, and brought her class birthday snacks!
After school we took the kids to get pumpkins at a local patch.
Then my family came over for dinner and carving fun!
James thought the pumpkin guts were amazing!
The older kids not so much ;)
Even the newlyweds made it which made Jenna feel super special!
Seeing Jenna doesn't like cake much she wanted pumpkin cookies with her presents!
The next night Daddy's future WNBA Rock star had her 1st Basketball practice
James had his 1st flying lesson ;)
Thursday Night was her school carnival
I was helping run things, so she spent the evening with dad and her girlfriends.
After her 1st game on Saturday we threw her a
Costume Party
with all of her closest friends :)
She didn't want a cake, so she had Vampire Doughnuts instead ;)
The Prizes for Best, scariest, and cutest costumes
And candy popcorn hands for favors!
The 1st part of the party we had a Magician who had the kids laughing, and totally impressed!
Then he made them all balloon surprises ;)
Everyone even daddy dressed for her party hahaha
Then we had a Jennabelle Carnival!
We had a pumpkin ring toss, Ghost bowling, Spider darts, and goblin eyeball throw for the kids to earn tickets for fun prizes!
(Thanks to Aunt Eva, Uncle Dave, Uncle Joshy, Auntie Grace, and Grandma April for running the games)
The all time favorite fame was Bobbing for Apples much to my surprise!
All of the kids wanted to get an apple and we ended up going through 2 bags of them!
Then while Jenna opened her gifts her friends ate their apples and doughnuts!
Then ran the sugar off in the back yard until their parents picked them up!
That night we had Jenna's favorite dinner while we had family movie night!
Then Sunday after church Grandma and Mandi brought lunch and presents for one last party!
Then the kids spent hours in the backyard with dad playing basketball :)
Which is how Jennabelle would spend every day if you let her pick!
I am so thankful for this sweet, fun, loving girl that God has blessed Michael and I with!
And thankful to everyone who helped us celebrate her birthday "week"!

Last day of 2nd for Thing 2

A lot has changed for our sweet girl! In 1 school year she got a baby brother, moved to Nampa, got a new house, started a new school, and got all new friends! As much as I feared it was too much for her introverted spirit God showed me there was more to this princess than even I new! She has thrived through it all, and has grown so much! I can not wait to see all God will use her to do, because I know she will change the world!

Thing 2 turns 8

The week leading up to her birthday she got 2 birthday lunches, a birthday dinner, and a birthday shopping trip. Then the day before her birthday we had her Sports Themed party... yes my little princess wanted a sports party! Mike was super happy about it ;)
Our Family of 5 celebrated our favorite girls birthday this weekend!
Jenna and her best girlfriends
Everyone signed Jenna's Football,
so she could always remember who came.
And Everyone got a sports shaped water bottle!
We had a yummy Cookie Cake!
She was spoiled rotten with presents!
Then had presents for all of her friends :)
Daddy's little football buddy
We played basketball with Jenna's new arcade style hoops, pin the football in the goal, and had a baseball pinata!
During the party there was baby hang out time
in the living room :)
For lunch we did concession style food!
After the party we had a FROZEN family movie night,
and a sleepover with Jenna's BFF!
Then on her actual birthday she was spoiled some more!
She started the morning with her a wish
 and her favorite breakfast
(ham and cheese omelet and PB pancakes)
After Jenna's Friends went home
we had lunch at her favorite restaurant Big Als
with Grandma Sue and Auntie Mandi.

Then we spent the rest of the afternoon
at the park just letting the kids run free!
It was such a wonderful weekend for this mama to celebrate
the little girl that changed my whole world for the best 8 years ago!

It's my due date & The 1st day of school!

I don't know which is more amazing to me...That my 1st baby is starting the 2nd grade, or that I am officially 40 weeks pregnant today! As much as I could have been perfectly happy having our baby boy at anytime in the last few weeks I am so happy that Mike and I could focus 100% on Jenna this morning like we do every 1st day of school!
She was so excited she was up and dressed before we were! This year she wanted a big girl bag instead of a regular backpack, but wasn't too big to give me loves when we dropped her off!

Though I am limited in what I can do these days we tried to make the last weekend before school started special. Saturday was Kade 1st Football game. He did great :) I don't know who is more excited he is playing Kade or Mike :)

After we went to lunch to celebrate, and then seeing I needed to be home resting we got the kids some $1 bottles of shaving cream and water toys. We let them just enjoy the sunshine playing games for hours before calling them in to make homemade pizza and have family movie night!
Sunday after church we spent the day with family! We had lunch with my parents, dessert with my sweet niece and nephew, and then finished up with Mikes family that afternoon!
It was such a calm wonderful day for me!
During church worship we sang a song song that I love! It reminds us that our name is known by God, and written on his heart. How much joy it was to know that God already knows my baby boy! He has plans for him including when he will meet this big world! How almighty is our God!
How incredible is it that this week we will meet the perfect little life of my son that God made just for my family!

Thing 2 is growing too!

1st and Last Day of 1st Grade!

I honestly cannot believe that today is Jenna's last day of 1st grade! Just like Thing 1 is growing way too fast Thing 2 is right as his heals! She is my precious baby, in a big girl's body, with a full grown attitude! I adore being her mother in every way even when that means seeing me come out in her!
Last night Mike and I had a discussion about what a good kid she is, and how we are always so amazed with how smart she is! I am so excited to see all that God has in store for our girl!

*Each year I take a picture of the kids and ask them some questions, so some day when they are all grown up I can show them how they got there! I share the picture with all the moms/grandmas in their life each spring, so everyone can keep track and be as proud as I am to be a part of their lives!
(Here is Kade's if you didn't see them)
