James's 1st Camping Trip!

This weekend we took the kids to a Strong Bonds Family camp in McCall to have fun with some other military families!
I wasn't sure what to expect taking James "glamping" for the 1st time, but it went great!
Even with him getting his 1st two teeth in this weekend :)
The kids had a blast on the zip lines
And James loved hanging out in the tree house watching them!
It was a baby wearing kind of weekend!
 Even hiking
And taking a walk "nap" to the lake!
The older kids had some fun learning new water activities
While Mike and I played with James on the dock, and in the sand!
(The "big" kids had fun in the sand too)
We played in the game room. The boys preferred Foosball while Jenna and I are more into pool!
The kids got to play games, and make crafts
while Mike and I had alone time!! :)
We learned James loves watermelon
He doesn't like marshmallows we found out when he tried to force feed them to me, but he still loves bananas most!
All in all James loves the out doors!
He likes that pine needles tickle
And apparently taste good :/
And that there is rocks to pick up everywhere!
On the way home we asked the kids what their favorite part was. They both said everything, and made us promise we would take them back. Mike was all about the ribs, and the free date. My favorite honestly was how happy the kids were even laughing and playing together the whole ride home!

Oh, and the kids were asked to make a song about their family and sing in to introduce us. This is what they came up with.. SO CUTE!

Thing 3 is Eleven Months

It's amazing how fast 11 months fly by when you are having fun!
As of August it will be 2 years since I decided I wanted to have a baby, and 1 year since my little dream come true was born!
Mike call James Happiness, and it is so fitting!
 He is climbing up everything!
And if you look close you can see he is finally getting some hair :)
It looks to be blonde, and may be curly on the ends!

Height/Weight: HUGE! He won't have another appointment until the week he turns one, but he is definitely growing!
Routine: We are keeping busy this summer, so there is too much routine. He does have the things that he likes though.
  • He likes to cuddle while watching George with sister every morning (which is an amazing hour of me time that I am going to miss when school starts),
  • He likes getting bottles during the day, so he can walk, play, and be active. But he likes mommy at night.
  • He likes to take a shower every night as part of his bedtime routine. And will just lay and let me give him a massage after for like 10 mins
All the neighbor boys hang out most days, and they all love to play with him :)
And James is loving weekly trips to the library!

Sleeping: James is a great sleeper! He mostly sleeps in his crib, but he will sleep in his car seat, stroller, or our bed just fine too!
Eating/Feeding: At this point he is eating most anything soft. He eats 3 meals a day, but his in between meal snacking is... well constant ;)
We are down to nursing just before bed, and if he wakes up at night.
Sizes: 12-18 months and size 5 shoes

Milestones
He is officially cool enough to have a Mohawk ;)

He can take off his diaper. He tries to put it back on sometimes, but is unsuccessful.
He had his 1st 4th of July (Picture Link)

We also found out he can push a chair to the window, put a pillow on it, and climb to see sister in the neighbors pool...
 He got his 1st pool
Had his 1st sleep over with cousin Chey
And he went to his 1st rodeo... He loves riding his "pony"
Needless to say I still find myself in awe of how happy
he makes me on a daily basis!
Being a stay at home wifey and mommy is my favorite!

1st Rodeo

This last weekend Mom. Mandi, and I took the kids to the Idaho Stampede!
Of course that meant that the kids needed Rodeo outfits :)
At 1st James wasn't sold on wearing his hat but he was fine carrying it around
He did really good watching the rodeo, but I think his favorite part was the food
He (like always) was spoiled by grandma Sue!
He sure does love that lady!
And he liked taking walks to show Mandi things
He is such a ham that for a large part of the rodeo he was just showing off to everyone around us.
He made lots of new friends, and kept telling everyone SO BIG ;)

He loves his sister and brother so much!
It was such a great night, and he was definitely the cutest man at the show!
