California Vacation Day 8: Gilroy Gardens Part 2

Sunday May 29th was our 6 year part 1 wedding Anniversary!
Sunday morning my always thoughtful husband snuck out early in the morning and bought me gluten free breakfast pastries and flowers :)
We decided seeing my IPs had bought us return tickets to Gilroy Gardens it would be a beautiful way to spend time as a family to get the kids tired so we could have some alone time in the evening :)

The kids played in the garden park!

Then we got fast passes (best invention ever)
so that they could just jump the line, and go on their favorite rides as many times as they wanted!

 We explored all the gardens

James decided he is big and now has to walk up the stairs like everyone else!
This is what me wanting them to pose for a picture turned into... better I think :)

After lunch James took a nap and I walked him around... such a pretty place to relax!
While Mike took Jenna on more rides!
Then when James woke up we did more rides :)

We just kept going till they looked like this... Mission complete!!!
Now we could enjoy each other for the rest of the evening while the kids slept like rocks ;)
It really doesn't matter how we spend our days as long as I get to spend them with you my darling!

Love this man!

This last weekend Mike took me out on a date to our new favorite restaurant Ruth's Chris!
We were just sitting there deciding what to order based on what the other person likes so that we could share when I realized I love marriage.
I know he likes meat, so I have learned to love trying every restaurant in town's crab cakes as our appetizers.
And he knows that I like dessert better than food, so he orders me Key Lime pie and Crème Brûlée!
We just go together. We just understand each other.
We no longer have to pretend to be something we are not, and we just get to grow into something better together!
I love that we can just talk all night, and it doesn't have to be forced. I love that he knows when to take my hand, and what to say when I need comfort.
I love how hard he works, and how much he loves his job! I love getting to watch him succeed at all he does! He got TSgt last year, and last month was given a new position as mission director!
The best part is how hott my husband looks when he comes home in uniform!!!
Better than him in uniform is seeing him with our kids! I couldn't imagine a better dad! It doesn't matter what he has going on that day he is the 1st to read, play, and cuddle our kids! He lives for them, and I love everything about his love for them!
Mike has taught our kids at a young age a joy for physical activity, and they all love working out with him... I don't get it, but it is fun to watch them all do sit ups and push ups together at night!
Growing up I use to picture the dad my kids would have, but I couldn't have imagined God had such a good one in store for me!
Even with how hard he works he also gets up early to do homework for he next degree, takes care of our house and yard after work, makes sure I get time to relax, builds all the crazy pintrest ideas I find, and always makes me breakfast in bed on the weekends so I can sleep in!
As we come in on our 6th wedding anniversary next month I just can't help but thank God for this wonderful man he put in my life to lead me, care for me, and to be my forever!

I love you Michael, and am so proud of all you do!

Mama's Day!

Mother's Day this Year was exactly the relaxation I needed!
My Mother's Day wish was to have a list of things I wanted done in the house Saturday, and then to just  relax on Sunday!
Saturday Mike and Jenna got to work cleaning out the garage from moving, setting up the loft, and finishing the closet that Mandi and Sue bought us a house warming gift!
Then Sunday morning I got to sleep in and have breakfast in bed. The kids got me my yearly new shoes and flowers which is my favorite tradition ever ;) That afternoon we had lunch at Ste. Chapelle with my amazing mother in law Sue and sister Mandi!
It was a gorgeous day, the music was great for dancing, Mike made yummy chicken Kabobs for our picnic, and the wine lemonade was amazing!

It was so fun we decided we are doing this every year :)

How lucky can one girl be to get to have these wonderful babies call me mama?!?!
That evening we had my mommy and step dad over for dinner! It was so nice to just sit and talk with them without all of the family and busyness.

I feel so blessed to have such supportive woman in my life! No matter what is going on or what I need I know that I have 2 Moms that will be there for me!
They are both amazing grandmas who take such good care of my kids :)

My Airman is home and Our 27 week Midwife appointment

My Husband is finally home! It's amazing how complete I feel when he is home! We go right back into being this well oiled machine I don't know how I do things when he is gone! Thursday afternoon we picked him up from the airport! The kids were so excited :) they hid behind a trash can and then attacked him as he walked through the doors! We took the kids to go get snow cones (mostly because baby wanted one), and then went home for a quite dinner at home just the 4 1/2 of us ;) Daddy and the kids played football while I watched my heart felt so full it could burst! That night daddy got to feel his baby and even see baby move around the bump :) it was the most wonderful bonding moment for the 3 of us! I love that whenever we cuddle now he gets to feel our baby!

The next day Mike spent the day with his girl swimming and playing basketball! She counted down $1 bills for each day he was gone for them to use to go on a date with when he got back :)

That night was just me and my man! We always go to the melting pot for our Anniversary... yes it's a few weeks away, but we have other plans that weekend so we figured why not start the celebrating early. We had other plans, but ended up just talking all night! It was so perfect! I feel like we stay close while he is gone, but there is nothing like being next to your best friend to make you feel so safe and loved!

Saturday we got to sleep in and have breakfast in bed which is one of our favorite weekend traditions! Then we picked up Thing 2 to go see Thing 1's soccer game! After we went to lunch and for a walk to enjoy the sunshine!

Sunday was our gender party here is the link
I posted about that! It was perfect, and I happy beyond words to be giving my husband a son! Though I did tell him seeing Jenna is a daddy's girl 100% our little guy will be a mommy's boy ;)
Here is some of the fun notes our friends left for us on diapers at our party!

Monday was equally as great! We went to breakfast at our favorite place that morning before our appointment, but our Midwife got called to Labor and delivery so we rescheduled for afternoon! I am so ok with that, because I plan to do the same thing to someone in a few months ;)

At the appointment she measured me and the bump is measuring at 29 weeks! I told Mike I was big :) Our Midwife says that its totally normal, and we may just have a tall boy which daddy is all to pleased about!
His heart beat is perfect and all is great on the pregnancy front! My next appointment I will be checked for Gestational Diabetes... I am so glad Mike will be there to keep me company :) Again I am loving having my baby daddy home!

That evening seeing we now know we are having a boy we registered! We went to Burlington 1st but didn't like their selection, so we went to Babies R US! It was so much fun I am not going to lie! Big sister loved getting to be a part of the whole thing and loved the scan gun! My favorite part was all the cute little things, Jenna's was baby toys, and Mike literally read safety ratings on everything we picked lol
Here is a link to our registry :) Baby Reece Gift Registry
We finished our evening having dinner and family time at Big Als!

Tuesday after school Mike and Jenna spent the afternoon together. Then we had a relaxing movie night and enjoyed yummy cheese cake thanks to the amazing Shawn and Chris!
We are all settled into life again and looking forward to having Kade this weekend! I want to thank everyone who supported us through Mike being gone again!
Now I think I will go kiss my Airman just because I can!
