6.2 year Anniversary: Our Urban Adventure

Sunday was the 6.2 year anniversary of the best decision of my life!
(For those of you who do not know Mike and I have 2 anniversaries, because we eloped in May then had our big wedding in September to make it possible to move forward with Jenna's adoption sooner)
We started with lunch in Bodo at one of our favorite spots
Then we walked to the capital start our Urban Adventure Quest
A fun 18+4 bonus question scavenger hunt around downtown
We had even more fun than we expected, found some things we didn't know existed, and some old things we love!
(Mike took me to dinner here the night he asked me to marry him)

We stopped for snacks, pictures, and fun along the way which slowed us down, but we got 11th place so far which we were entertained by ;)
We really did enjoy the time together as a date, and would recommend this to our friends
(just be careful it does drain your battery if you leave the game open the whole time)
Then we headed to dinner

Food is just better when they set everything on fire :)

And when the view behind you is as sweet as the dessert!
We took one more walk around the water after dinner to soak up the end of our beautiful day!
I really can't stop thanking God that I get to spend every Sunday forever with such
a giving, supportive, handsome man!
Happy 6.2 years babe!!

Our New Journey: Surrogacy Part 8: Operation: "Walk the Baby Out" Week 2

Sunday May 29th was our 6 year part 1 wedding Anniversary!
I thought it was fun that this all started last year we "met" my IPs via Skype and decided that we were going to carry a baby for them the week of our 5 year part 1 anniversary
Then on our 5 year part 2 anniversary we traveled for me to get pregnant

Now everything had come full circle and it was time for baby to be born.. well almost time!
She wanted to bake a little longer ;)

Sunday morning my always thoughtful husband snuck out early in the morning to buy me gluten free breakfast pastries and flowers :)
We decided seeing my IPs had bought us return tickets to Gilroy Gardens it would be a beautiful way to spend time as a family to get the kids tired so we could have some alone time in the evening :)

Monday I was sure I had finally helped the cause, because I was finally having contractions. My very excited IM decided it was worth a trip to the OB to be checked, so we headed in...
More NO CHANGE... However at this point the OB set us up to induce on June 1st (2 days later)

So we went to lunch at this super yummy french restaurant and she bought me presents to make me feel better! Which really did help ;)

Then we met up with our husbands and kids for a Memorial Day dinner and fun at the park!

Tuesday it was time to be busy again!
We thought this was our last day for fun, so we headed to San Jose to explore!

Wednesday June 1st!
The day I was supposed to induce....
We went to breakfast, got me my pink tea, and headed to the OBGYN's office for one last check before heading to the hospital.
If it is possible to go down in dilation I think that is what may have happened lol
There was so little change it just wasn't a good idea to induce.
Baby girl wanted to bake longer
We pushed passed our disappointment by leaving the kids with the sitter, and finding a specialty coffee shop with my IM to sit, relax, and make plans to stay another week!
Thursday was jump back into play day!
We decided to hit Raging Waters from open to close!

Friday was one of my favorite days ever!
We spent the day at Capitola Beach! It was so warm, and beautiful!
Just a simple, relaxing, perfect family day

Saturday we went to The Rosicrucian Egyptian Museum and Billy Beez

One more week down!

California Vacation Day 8: Gilroy Gardens Part 2

Sunday May 29th was our 6 year part 1 wedding Anniversary!
Sunday morning my always thoughtful husband snuck out early in the morning and bought me gluten free breakfast pastries and flowers :)
We decided seeing my IPs had bought us return tickets to Gilroy Gardens it would be a beautiful way to spend time as a family to get the kids tired so we could have some alone time in the evening :)

The kids played in the garden park!

Then we got fast passes (best invention ever)
so that they could just jump the line, and go on their favorite rides as many times as they wanted!

 We explored all the gardens

James decided he is big and now has to walk up the stairs like everyone else!
This is what me wanting them to pose for a picture turned into... better I think :)

After lunch James took a nap and I walked him around... such a pretty place to relax!
While Mike took Jenna on more rides!
Then when James woke up we did more rides :)

We just kept going till they looked like this... Mission complete!!!
Now we could enjoy each other for the rest of the evening while the kids slept like rocks ;)
It really doesn't matter how we spend our days as long as I get to spend them with you my darling!

Another perfect Jacquary!

We kicked off the 1st weekend of the month with family time,
and then a daddy daughter/ mommy son night!
It was equally great to see how close Jenna is with her daddy
as it was to get to talk to and spoil Kade.
On Sunday we went to church, then swimming, then
had a fun football filled evening with Mike's family!
We watched the big game while the kids played on the floor and loved on each other!
If I could relive that day every Sunday it would never get old!
On my birthday Michael made me breakfast in bed.
It's funny because he makes me breakfast in bed at least twice a week, but it is still one of my favorite romantic gestures... it is probably my love for breakfast food mixed with my un-love for mornings ;)
Then we took James to spend the day with his cousins, so we could go kid free shopping for all new bedding, pillows, and room decor! And have lunch at Tucanos!
I am in love with how cozy it is to just be in my room, and enjoy having a new kid free getaway for my man and I!
That afternoon we got the kids from school, and all had my favorite cupcakes (raspberry lemon) while watching a movie to relax! The prefect afternoon when you are pregnant!
Then I had a girls night with my mom and sisters!!
Mike took the next 2 days off to just spend time with me!
He did a good job spoiling me with lots of little things
like hidden notes, and weekly flowers all month!
Friday Night the kids had a play date, and Mike and I went out to celebrate valentines at my new favorite restaurant Emilio's! It was so romantic with our hidden table, and the food...oh the food!
For presidents day weekend we planned lots of fun for the kids with swimming, sleepovers, and love
Valentines morning the kids got some this is why we love you presents <3 nbsp="" p="">
Mike surprised Jenna and I with candy and flowers,
and the kids made valentines for the people they love!
That afternoon we made cookies for all our neighbors and took a walk to deliver them!
Then the kids got an early bedtime with movies, so dad and mom could exchange valentines ;)
Presidents Day we took the kids to Hyde park for one of our favorite traditions of hiking, playing at the park, and walking to get ice cream!

That week James got to go to lunch with Auntie Sara and I, so my surro husband could have some spoil me time lol... turns out James will sit still for hours as long as there is fries :)
Mike got his acceptance letter for the college is wanting to get his next degree!
Thank you Jesus for Tuition Assistance making it possible for my husband to be getting degree #3 for free, and for me getting to marry such a smart man ;)
The weekend of the 19th Mike and I spent alone celebrating 7 years together!
It truly was the most amazing weekend we have had in awhile,
and I feel so lucky to be this in love with him!
We finished off the month with Jenna's last basketball game then a family day with lunch, shopping, and family movie night.
Mike got me one last Jacquary Bouquet and special snack to end my month!!

I am now looking forward to spring and Easter, but thankful beyond words I get to spend all the future seasons and holidays with such a giving man and our kids!
